Flexistaff: Solving Staffing Challenges in Portuguese Restaurants

FlexiStaff was developed to address critical staffing shortages in Portuguese restaurants during peak tourist seasons. Using Lean Startup and Customer Development methodologies, the project focused on two value propositions:

  1. FlexiStaff: Providing short-term, qualified workers for urgent demand surges.

  2. QualiStaff: Offering long-term staffing solutions through worker training and certification.

FlexiStaff demonstrated strong market alignment by offering an agile solution to help restaurants adapt to fluctuating demand. The research included surveys, interviews, and a pilot landing page experiment that achieved a 34% worker conversion rate. This project exemplifies a data-driven approach to workforce optimization, balancing business efficiency with worker satisfaction.
